Many of our Troops are still overseas serving our country.
While many of us were sporting the yellow ribbon on our car bumpers many of
us did very little to actually help.
What "Dare to Care" is, is a program to send care packages to our troops who
are still serving overseas. Nothing makes our troops, while on
deployment, happier than mail call and when a package arrives it can bring
them a little piece of home. We will be collecting items to send to
our boys overseas to make their day a little brighter and truly show that we
care.
So, If you bring at least 2 items from the list below, you will receive one
raffle ticket and $2 off the gate admission. Boxes will be placed at
the ticket window to collect items.
On Memorial Day we should be thankful to those who serve and this is one way
that you can give back to them. Care package will be assembled and a
portion of the event proceeds will be used to mail packages to troops
serving in Afganistan and Iraq.
Items that will be accepted as as follows
1. Magazines (new or used) e.g. Hot Rod, Road & Track, Men's health, GQ,
etc...
(NO Cosmo! or pornographic material will be accepted)
2. Sunflower seeds
3. Playing cards
4. Dice
5. Beef Jerky
6. Candy (no chocolate)
7. DVD's (new or used)
8. International Calling cards
9. Letters
10. Any item can survive the trip overseas, that may brighten a troops day.
(that is not considered contra-ban by the military)
